Do me a favor he said,
the agony of apathy fuelling the unrestful;
time consumes the euphoria of newness,
the memories of the past,
that became poison in his veins,
rotting inside and adding to the pain…
Shut it off he said,
stop the war mongering of the dreams and desires;
the ‘what if’s that were crushed by destiny,
the zeitgeist, so mercurial in its attires…
He stopped,
looked back at the future and the past fury of nature;
found an answer, may be…
whether to survive or revive the self, that was real…
So he changed,
living in the present,
the moment, that’s the truth;
the only thing that’s truly his
to decide, to live,
to be alive…
